Changing Employee Self Service Access automatically with updates to Employee Master





Description of Issue

Can it be that an Active Status change in Munis makes the change in ESS?

We have an employee who recently left, can ESS automatically disable access?



Context

Cause

Employee has terminated but retains an active ESS account.



Resolution
  1. Navigate to the program Employee Master

    • Menu > Human Resources/Payroll > Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Master

  2. Navigate to the toolbar option for ESS Access.

  3. Click Add.

  4. Define a reason code applicable, commonly these would be associated with employees becoming Inactive or Terminated use the field help icon denoted by the ellipses to review available code.

  5. Define the remaining permissions, note that this setup will overwrite the current ESS permissions once the reason code is assigned. Only enable the options to wish the leave available to the now former employee.

  6. Click Accept to save the record.
