Description of Issue

An entered abatement is automatically abating CPA. 

Context

Cause

An abatement was entered for a bill that has a CPA charge line. 

Resolution
  • CPA is calculated as a percentage of the principal tax. When an abatement reduces the principal tax, the CPA is also reduced to make up for this change.
  • If this is not desired, the abatement amounts for the CPA charge can be updated following the steps in this article: Change or Update an Abatement Amount
