Invalid Transaction error in LA PEP Class Schedule Import when Delete or Purge selected

Purge or Delete of Class Schedule records produces this error:

Invalid Transaction Structure (prlaclas)

An invalid structure or database transaction logging has been detected.

A BEGIN WORK instruction was executed within an open transaction.

• LA PEP Class Schedule Import

A Delete was performed on the find set, and then a Purge, creating a record lock.  

An error, Error locking records. Manual delete required precedes the Invalid Transaction Structure error.

If a Purge is required on the find set after a Delete, close the program and re-open.
