Honeywell 1950 scanner fails to scan barcode labels printed on paper



Description of Issue

Honeywell 1950 scanner fails to scan barcodes printed on paper, however no issues scanning QR code from computer monitor on initial setup.

  • Honeywell scanner (1900 and 1950)



Cause

Printed barcodes on paper are too light and requires darker contrast setting when printed.



Resolution
  1. Contact local IT team to adjust printer settings. This setup varies between make and model of printer.

Additional Information

Issue may also be hardware related and the Honeywell scanner may need to be replaced. If possible test using a known good scanner to try to replicate issue scanning the same barcode or scan barcode that is known to scan properly.
