Fund Control Account - Direct Disbursement Cash

Fund Control Account - Direct Disbursement Cash

Description of Issue

Is Direct Disbursement Cash control required for Direct Disbursements for a Fund?

Context
  • Account Master

  • Balance Sheet

  • Control Accounts

  • Direct Disbursement (DD)

Cause

User questioning if a Direct Disbursement control is needed for fund

Resolution
  • Not Required Control account

  • Munis will use the AP Cash Control account unless a site adds a Direct Disbursement control in Account Master for the Fund.

Additional Information
  • This account is optional and affects the Direct Disbursements program.

  • If direct disbursements are drawn from a Petty Cash Account, not from the AP Cash Control account, setup the Petty Cash Account as the Direct Disbursement Cash Control Account.

    • Entering a petty cash account here causes the system to use this account as the default cash account when an invoice is coded as a Direct Disbursement.

    • If this field is blank, the system uses whatever cash account is specified in the AP Cash Control Account.
