EEO-5 Duplicate Employee Error





Description of Issue

When choosing to output EEO-5 Report an error is indicating 'Duplicate Employee Records' and actual error report will not display



Context

Cause

Location ranges defined in the Schools records create an overlap somewhere, reporting employee(s) more than once.



Resolution
  1. Navigate to the program EEO-5 Report

    • Menu > Human Capital Management > Human Resources > EEO Reporting > EEO-5 Report

  2. Click Update and enter the definitions for all required fields

  3. To review errors, click Update once more an choose the option Error Report in the drop down menu for Report Type

  4. Look for the actual Error indicated in red similar to Duplicate employee records were found 100129:-268

  5. Navigate to the Employee Master program

    • Menu > Human Capital Management > Human Resources > Employee Job/Pay Classification > Employee Master

  6. Click Search and locate the issue employee record

  7. Verify the Location Code value assigned to the employee

  8. Navigate to the EEO-5 Report again

  9. Click Schools from the ribbon

  10. Click Browse to view all school records in the EEO-5 Report and locate any Location Ranges that overlap for this employee's location



Additional Information
  • Once Duplicate errors are eliminated the EEO-5 and Error Reports can be output for further review

  • Error message and Employee Number will display in red at the bottom of the EEO-5 screen

  • Error also prevents the EEO-5 error report from opening
