Description of Issue

  • Journal import errors with only a system log id number
    System Log Message: Excel file open error

Cause

File location path is too long and Munis cannot read the data file's extension (.prn .txt .csv .xlsx)



Resolution

Move file to desktop and try selecting file again ensuring file extension defining file type can be viewed.



Additional Information

  • This can also happen if Munis cannot read excel file data

    • Copy only needed data from file 1 then paste into newly created excel, format all cells as Text and try again.
