How does the salary calculate calculate the daily rate

Description of Issue

How is Munis calculating the daily rate showing on the proof report for the Salary Calculate in my Salary and Benefit Projection?

Context
  • Munis

  • Payroll

  • Salary and Benefit Projections

  • Projection Start and Status

  • Salary Calculate

Cause

Resolution

Munis calculates the daily rate on the salary calculate proof as follows:

  1. The Annual pay from the Salary Calculate record divided by Days/Year field of the Employee Job/Salary record. Annual Salary / (Days Per Year) = Daily Rate

    1. From Projection Start and Status, click Employee Job/Salary. Search for the employee and base pay. Note the Annual Salary and the Days/Year field.

  2. If the Days/Year field isn’t populated, Munis will determine the number of days for the year by taking the Hours/Year field divided by the Hours/Day field in Employee Job/Salary, then divide the Annual Pay by this figure. Annual Pay / (Hours per Year / Hours per Day) = Daily Rate

  3. If these two fields are not defined, Munis will then take the Days/Period multiplied by the Num Pays in Employee Job/Salary. Annual Pay / (Days/Period * Num Pays) = Daily Rate
