Description of Issue

Posted payroll to incorrect year/period in the General Ledger, will this impact the Q941 report?



Context

Cause

End user defined incorrect GL year/period when posting to the GL, but this does not impact the Q941 report.



Resolution

  • The Quarterly 941 Report amounts are based on the quarterly accumulators.  The quarterly accumulators are updated based on the Check Date of the payroll, not the GL Year/Period.  

  • For instance, if the Check Date was 7/15/21, the accumulators for 3rd quarter in 2021 would get updated.
