How to identify Munis roles linked to TCM permission groups by User

Description of Issue

For site administrators looking to understand how Munis roles are linked to TCM permission groups.

Cause

TCM permissions have not been applied to users ID in TCM.  

Resolution

Follow these steps to verify that at least one or more Munis Role is linked to TCM permissions groups. 

  1. From Munis Menu >  System Administration > Security > User Attributes.
  2. Click Search > Enter User Id or Name > Accept.
  3. Click on Data Access tab.
  4. Scroll to bottom of Product list to locate the TylerCM group access category to see if the Access level is set to None or Limited.
    1. None indicates the user is not assigned to any roles linked to TCM permissions groups.

    2. Limited indicates the user is assigned to at least one role linked to a TCM permission group.
      Click View Detail at the bottom left of the Product list to open the TylerCM Group Access screen.
      1. User Account Detail tab shows the TCM groups applied by the linked role.
        Note: If the linked TCM permissions do not provide the access necessary to a programs mappings refer to the instructions in the link above to apply permissions.
      2. Role Access Summary tab shows the Munis Role that applies the TCM permission group.

If TCM permissions are linked as expected, Munis Role Calc will need to be forced to process over the Munis User ID to apply the permissions in TCM.
