I am looking to add a check message to print on our checks and advices.

Payroll Processing
Payroll Start and Status
Print Payroll Advices
Print Payroll Checks
Cause
Resolution
Access Print Payroll Advices/Payroll Checks: Payroll > Payroll Processing > Payroll Start and Status > Print Payroll Advices/Checks
Click Change
Enter the desired check message in the Check Message section of the print screen
Click Accept
Select Print Checks/Adv and print as usual.
