Error failed to get this message to your SMTP server for delivery in a Non-Production Environment



Description of Issue
  • I am not able to submit new work orders. I can create a work order but when I try to submit it, I receive one of the following error messages:  

    • [wfwsgene] Wfnxtpe3 - An error occurred sending email using the Munis emailer program (spemailr). Process=WOA, operation=A

    • Wfnxtpe3 - An error occurred sending email using the Munis emailer program (spemailr). Process = WOC, operation = A

  • Error: failed to get this message to your SMTP server for delivery

Cause

The Email Override Configuration function located in System Settings has the Override enabled flag on.



Resolution
  1. Open Menu> System Administration> General Administration> System Settings

  2. Open Email Override Configuration

  3. Select Update

  4. Un-flag the Override Enabled field, or add in email addresses and/or email address regexes as desired 

    1. When Override enabled is unchecked, all emails will be delivered from the non-production environment

    2. When Override enabled is checked off, emails will be delivered only to email addresses that are either explicitly listed or that match a specified expression pattern

  5. Click Accept



Additional Information

The Email Override Configuration settings should only be available in non-production environments. If this option appears in a production environment, follow the steps in Email Override Configuration settings appear in Production.

  • Process in the error will display workflow transaction type causing the error. 

  • Operation in error displays workflow rule type: A=Approve, N=Notify
