Arithmetic overflow error when generating CalPERS Payroll Contribution Report

When generating the period records, the program stops and the following error occurs:

Arithmetic overflow error converting numeric to date type numeric

• Payroll 

• California

• CalPERS Payroll Contribution Reporting

An employee value (such as Actual Hours or Pay Rate) exceeds character limitations set by the reporting agency

Contact EERP State Reporting Support for assistance identifying the employee. 

Once the employee is identified you will typically need to Generate around them and then manually create the CalPERS Period Record. 

To Generate around the employee, create an Employee Group code, attach it to the employee and then define it on the CalPERS Generate screen in the Emp Group to Exclude field.
