Cause

How does the Shutoff status affect a service/account?

Resolution

The shut-off status leaves the account as active as there may still be a person at the residence/account, but they have been shut off (ex: non-payment). This status is still eligible for billing as long as the stop date remains as 12/31/9999. The Shut Off status causes services to not be pulled into the Cut Off Process.
