System locks are usually caused by another user trying to update the same entry.

To clear the Lock:

1. Check to ensure that other users on site aren't working on this journal. If they are, have them close out of the Journal Entry program.

2. Close and Reopen the General Journal Entry program and try modifying this journal again.

If error still occurs try Logging out of Munis entirely, wait 10-15 minutes and retry.
