Entering in new location codes for EAM Assets

Where can I add a new Location Code for an EAM asset?

1. Within Asset Categories (Asset Maintenance > Setup Center > Asset Categories), note the asset categories that are marked with Location: Yes

   1. This determines whether an asset created with this category is considered a location

2. Create a new asset within Assets or Asset Registry

   1. This is going to be the asset that represents the location (department, warehouse, garage, etc.) so be sure to name it the way you want the location code to show

3. Assign the asset to an asset category that was set as a location

4. Fill out any remaining fields that are needed and click Accept to create the asset

5. For any further assets, when entering the information, once you get to the Location information, the previously made asset will show up as a location code that can be assigned
