Adding An Assessment Error Invalid Assessment Code



Description of Issue

While attempting to add a new assessment onto an account site receives an error: Invalid assessment code.



Context

  • Utility Billing CIS

  • Assessments



Cause

This error occurs when there is more than one Rate Master record for the Assessment Charge Code/Rate Code combination.  



Resolution

Ensure there is only one Rate Master for the Assessment Charge Code/Rate Code combination.

  1. Navigate to Property Revenues > Utility Billing > Setup > Rate Masters

  2. Click Search

  3. Type in the Charge code and Rate code.

  4. Click Accept

  5. Review the find set and determine which of the Rate Masters to keep

  6. Use the Delete option on the records that will not move forward
