User Defined Data Export - Field Reference

User Defined Data Export - Field Reference

Description of Issue

We are trying to run the User Defined Data Export program and need to reference specific pay codes, but when we enter the Field Reference and pay code ranges we get the error, Field Reference Code 'PAY' has not been defined on the selected layout.

Context
  • Munis

  • User Defined Data Export

  • Employee Job Salary

Cause

The User Defined Data Export Fields were not set up to reference specific pay codes. The Field Reference field was not set up with the user defined code of 'PAY'.

Resolution
  1. Navigate to User Defined Export Layouts (Human Capital Management>Payroll>Payroll Administration>User Defined Export Layouts)

  2. Search for the Layout ID that needs to be reviewed

  3. Click Records

  4. Navigate to the correct Record ID (NOTE: Depending on the setup, there may be only one record)

  5. Click Fields

  6. Navigate to the desired Field

  7. Click Update

  8. Select the Field Source field's drop-down list

  9. Select Employee Pay Amount

  10. Select the Field Reference field and type PAY

  11. TAB to the Decimal Digits field and enter the number of decimal digits to display (commonly 2)

  12. Click Print Decimal Point

  13. Click Accept

  14. Re-run the User Defined Data Export program to see the changes
