Exclude Earnings is Payroll Time Entry
The Exclude Earnings is not stopping the imported pay codes from moving into the payroll.

Payroll Time Entry
System is working as designed. Any entries (manually added or imported) made in the Time Entry program will not be subject to the Exclude Earnings folder when the Time Entry batches are moved into the payroll during the Post Time Entry to Payroll process.Â
The Exclude Earnings, Exclude Deductions, and Exclude Emp Types folders in the Post Time Entry to Payroll are carried over from the information in the Generate Earnings and Deductions setup of the payroll. Adjusting the values in the Post Time Entry to Payroll does not prevent data that was entered or imported in a Time Entry Batch from being moved into the payroll. If the data was entered or imported into a Time Entry Batch and it was approved or verified, then it will be moved into the payroll.
The situation was that a third-party time file was being imported to Time Entry. Internal policy was that the time file should not be adjusted, and that it should be imported exactly as it was exported from the third part system. Once it was imported, the thought was that the Exclude Earnings would prevent the pay codes defined in the Exclude Earnings folder from moving into the payroll. That is not how the system works. If the time entered in Time Entry is verified or approved, then it will move to the payroll.
