Payroll Allocation Code in Employee Job Salary





Description of Issue

We used the Import option in the Payroll Allocations program to update the existing allocation percentages, but it is not reflecting the updates in Employee Job/Salary. What can we do?

Cause

The Employee Job/Salary records do not automatically reflect the updated payroll allocations percentages. In order to adjust the Employee Job/Salary records you need to zero out the allocation code to remove the allocation detail and then select the allocation code again. This will allow the new allocation percentages to populate with the updated information. 



Resolution
  1. Go to the Employee Job/Salary base pay record (Payroll>Employee Maintenance>Employee Job/Salary)

  2. Search for the employee's base pay record that needs to have the updated allocation code

  3. Click Update

  4. Select the Allocation field and DELETE the existing value, then TAB past the field

  5. In the Allocation field, manually type the allocation code or select it from the Field Help. The updated Allocation Code details will be displayed 

  6. Click Accept to save the record
