Okta IP and Port range changing

Okta IP and Port range changing

Description of Issue

Okta will be updating its IP/Port range on April 25, 2022

Context
  • Okta

  • TID-W

  • TID-C

  • TCP

Cause
  • Okta announced upcoming changes to a list of IP addresses that need to be whitelisted if a client's network policy blocks most access to external IPs or websites.

  • The majority of clients running Okta (TID-W) do not make use of this list.

Resolution

Clients who are port-blocking will need to update IP/Port range. The required updates can be found on the Okta help page listed below.

Additional Information

Port 443 must be open on External Web server to https://identity.tylerportico.com
