Payments Journal - GL Posting Options Hidden

After a recent update, users are unable to see the G/L Posting options that allow them to override the GL Effective Date in Payments Journal. Previously, this option was visible but grayed out to anyone that did not have the Override Accounting Period permission enabled in the General Ledger permissions. After the update, this option has been hidden to anyone without this permission. Users may find the permission that controls access to the GL Posting Options has been cleared with the update and thus makes it seem like this function was suddenly removed. 

The  Override Accounting Period permission must be restored for any user that requires the GL Posting Options be visible in Payments Journal. 

Navigate to General Revenues > System Administration > Security > User Attributes

1. Click Search and enter the relevant UserId
2. Click Accept
3. Highlight the role that grants General Ledger Permissions
4. Click Edit Role
5. Select the General Ledger Folder
6. Click Update
7. Enable the permission for Override Accounting Period
8. Click Accept

Repeat this process for any users that need to see the GL Posting Options in Payments Journal
