Employee unable to access document through ESS Tasks



Description of Issue

Employee receives a 404 error when attempting to access a document through Tasks in ESS



Context

Cause
  • Employee does not have a Document Acknowledgement record set up in Employee Document Maintenance

  • The document is not uploaded or linked correctly in Document Administration in ESS



Resolution
  1.  Verify that a Document Acknowledgement record exists in Munis:

    1. Navigate to Munis > Human Capital Management > Talent Management > Document Acknowledgement > Employee Document Maintenance

    2. Search by Employee Number to verify that a record exists

    3. If a record does not exist, click Add and fill in the necessary information

  2. Verify that the document has been uploaded to ESS successfully:

    1. As an administrator, log into ESS and click Home > Administration > Employee Administration > Document Administration

    2. If the document is not listed, click Add Document or Add Link in the top right

    3. If the document is listed, click Edit to verify that the upload path or link being used is correct

      1. If the document is listed, verify that the document is not expired as well, and if it has then update the expiration date
