Changing check date for payroll and impact on accumulators

How does changing the check date impact payroll?

• The Check Date field on the Payroll Start and Status screen determines which accumulators will be added or updated.

• If the check date is changed from, for example, 11/28/2019 to 11/27/2019, the same monthly, quarterly, and yearly accumulator records will be updated as the check is still within the same month and year. Therefore the monthly cycle 11, quarter 4, and 2019 yearly accumulators will be updated.

• If the check date is changed to a new month, for example, 12/01/2019, the same yearly and quarterly accumulators will be updated, however the monthly cycle 12 will be updated with a December check date.
