Detail State and Local Taxes - Include Employees with Zero Withholdings

Description of Issue

The Cur Earnings field of the Detail State and Local Taxes report does not match the Employee Gross value for the State Taxes on the Detail/Final Proof report.

Cause

An employee has a valid deduction gross for state or local tax that results in a zero withholding. Some organizations want to include the records in the report and some do not want to include it. The addition of the checkbox allows for users to determine if it should be included or not.

Resolution
  1. Navigate to Payroll>Payroll Processing>Payroll Start and Status 
  2. Open the Detail State and Local Taxes program
  3. Verify the payroll warrant and Click Yes to continue with the Payroll Process
  4. Click Define
  5. Select the Include Employees With Zero Withholdings checkbox
  6. Click Accept
  7. Select an Output option to review the report in your desired format
