Cause
Resolution
Payroll Run Types can be created using numbers or letters. When a letter is created for the Run Type in Miscellaneous Codes, the corresponding number 0-9 needs to be referenced in the Data field for permissions.Â
- Go To Miscellaneous Codes. (Payroll>Payroll Setup>Miscellaneous Codes)
- Click Add. Select Code Type RUNC-PAYROLL RUN CONTROL CODES. Define Code and Descriptions. Define corresponding run number in the Data field. Click Accept.Â
- Go to Roles. (System Administration>Security>Roles)
- Search for the role. Click Accept. Click HR Management/Payroll.Â
- Click the Payroll Run Processing Tab. Make sure the number defined in the Data field of the Run Control type is checked to allow access.Â
- Example. If a Payroll Run Control Code was created with Code F and Data 2, the checkbox for number 2 will need to be checked in Payroll Run Processing in Role Maintenance to allow access to run types F and 2.Â
