I need to recreate my 1099-R records with Box 2b.

Context

Cause

Pays were not defined in the Taxable Not Determined Pays and/or Total Distribution Pays boxes.

Resolution

Pay types need to be defined in the Taxable Not Determined Pays and/or Total Distribution Pays boxes in order to check the Box 2b checkboxes.

Go to Create W-2 and 1099-R Records. (Payroll>W-2 and 1099-R Processing>Create W-2 and 1099-R Records).
Click Define. Define year. Click Accept.
Click Define. Select Generate Option of 1099-Rs Only.
In the Options box, Check the Use 1099-R Pay Distribution Codes checkbox.
Define Taxable Not Determined Pays and Total Distribution Pays in the From and To ranges. Click Accept.

Note: If 1099-R records already exist, Record Replacement Prompt will display asking 1099-R records exist for 20xx. Do you wish to replace these records? If Yes is selected, be aware any manual changes made on the prior 1099s will need to be updated again.
