HSA Deduction amounts missing on W-2s



Description of Issue

We found the HSA deduction amounts are missing from the W-2s. 

Context
  • Munis
  • Deduction and Benefit Master
  • W-2 Wizard
Cause

W-2 Code missing on HSA Deductions in Deduction and Benefit Master. 

Resolution
  1. Go to Deduction and Benefit Master. (Payroll>Payroll Setup>Deduction and Benefit Master)
  2. Search for the HSA deduction code. Click Accept. Click the Options Tab. 
  3. Click Update. in W-2 Code field, choose 1- HEALTH SAVINGS ACCT (CODE W). Click Accept
  4. Go back into the W-2 Wizard. Click on Step 3. Create. Click the Health Savings/Box 14 Tab. 
  5. Define the HSA deduction codes in the Deduction Range box. 

**Note: When you re-generate the W-2s, any changes previously made to Employee W-2 records will be lost.
