Change the GL Effective Date or GL Year and Period of an Abatement Batch
Description of Issue
When going to post a batch of abatements, the GL Effective Date and/or GL Year/Period needs to be changed.Â
Context
- Property Tax BillingÂ
- Abatement Entry (txabtent)Â
Cause
The original GL Effective Date and/or GL Year/Period entered for the batch needs to be changed.Â
Resolution
- The GL Effective Date and/or GL Year/Period of an abatement batch cannot be changed except when posting the batch. To begin this process, start by resuming the batch that needs a changed GL Effective Date and/or GL Year/Period: Resume an Abatement Entry Batch
- Once the batch is resumed, click GL Post.Â
- Choose a Print Sequence for the report.Â
- Update the GL Posting date to the desired GL Effective date.Â
- Press TAB, the GL Year/Period should automatically update to the GL Year/Period that corresponds to the chosen GL Posting date.Â
- If desired, enter a Resolution.Â
- If desired, select Use this resolution for all abatement during post.Â
- If desired, select Print charges summary only.Â
- Click Accept.Â
- Choose either Munis printer or Save as the Output type.Â
- Click OK.
- A message is displayed: No errors detected. Post these abatements?Â
- Click Yes to post or No to cancel.Â
- A message is displayed: Posting is complete.
- Click OK.
