Restoring image that was saved over in EERP and/or CM

Description of Issue

User will go to review a previously saved attachments and find that the image was overwritten by another unrelated image.

Cause

A user will try to add a new attachment and forget to click the ADD button when trying to add a new attachment in the EERP HTML viewer. If the user is not careful or does not check their work and click Save, the previous image will be written over by the new one.

Resolution

Note - in order to complete these steps the user logging into the CM Full client must have admin level access.

  1. Log into CM Full client:
    How to Access and Launch the TCM Full Client.
  2. Go to Documents on the lower left hand side and then click Document Search above that.
  3. Click on Filter on the right-hand side of the screen.
  4. Scroll down and find the doc type category you are searching for (Accounts Payable, Payroll, Purchasing, etc.).
    Under your specific category, click on the doc type you would like to search on.
    This will filter on just that doc type.
  5. Use the metadata search fields based on the search criteria to find the documents needed.
  6. Select the record in the Search Results panel, then click View Selected Results.
    It is the right pointing, blue arrow.
  7. Click on the Show Menu button from the command ribbon at the top right of the screen, then select Audit History.
  8. In the Audit History panel on the left, click on the last entry in the list just before the recent update, then click Restore Selected Attachment from the top right corner of the metadata panel.
  9. Click Restore in the Question panel.
  10. The screen will refresh and display two attachments in the Documents panel.
  11. Remove the file incorrectly saved by clicking the title, then Remove Selected Document(s) from the command list on the right side of the image panel.
  12. Click Remove from in the Question panel.
  13. Click Save Document from the top right command ribbon.
