Resolution

The proper way to unregister a timeclock is to launch the Time & Attendance application and navigate to:

System Admin → Timeclock Management

  1. In the Authorized tab, locate the timeclock that should be unregistered

  2. Select the Unregister option and verify that the timeclock is moved to the Unregistered tab

  3. Allow several minutes for the clock to display that it is ready to be authorized

  4. Delete the timeclock from the Unauthorized tab in Time and Attendance

  5. Allow several minutes for the clock to become unregistered

At this point, the clock is now ready to be registered to any instance

  14. Save the file after updating.

  15. Restart the clock: How to Restart a Linux Timeclock from WinSCP

TouchTime Emulator:

Navigate to the root > flashdisk folder within the Touchtime Emulator folder on the time clock

  1. Open the device CFG file

  2. Update the authFlag value to 0

  3. Save the file

Re-launch the emulator, and it will be unregistered

Additional Information

A file that contains an auth value of 2 indicates it has been registered. Entering 0 in its place and saving the file will remove that authorization and bring the clock to an unauthorized state.
