Description of Issue

TouchTime VII timeclock screen is not working

Context

Unknown

Resolution
  1. Locate and launch Putty Configuration on your computer

  2. Select Session under Category list on left side of screen

  3. Populate Host Name with the clock IP address

  4. Leave default port as 22

  5. Click SSH as the Connection type

  6. Click Telnet from the dropdown box

  7. Click open at the bottom of screen

  8. In the username field, enter: root

  9. In the Password field, enter the password

  10. Select login

  11. Type cd /dev

  12. Type cd input

  13. Type cat touchscreen0

  14. Touch the clock screen

  15. CTRL+C

  16. exit

      

Additional Information

Data should only scroll after the screen is touched and stop when no longer touched. If the clock screen remains touched, data patterns will scroll continuously. When data pattern scrolls without touching the clock screen, there is a touchscreen problem. Clocks with touchscreen problem should be RMA
