Employee Deductions vs Employee Benefits





Description of Issue

In a salary and benefit projection what are the Employee Benefit employee records? Are these going to duplicate when we post to budget from what is in Employee Deductions?

Resolution

Deductions with the Benefit Checkbox checked will show the Employee Deduction records referenced in Employee Benefits.

  1. Go to Deduction and Benefit Master. (Payroll>Payroll Setup>Deduction and Benefit Master)

  2. Click Search. Click the Benefit Checkbox. Click Accept. 

  3. Go to Employee Deductions. (Payroll>Employee Maintenance>Employee Deductions)

  4. Search for the deductions checked as a Benefit. Click Accept. Note the number of records.

  5. Go to Employee Benefits. (Payroll>Employee Maintenance>Employee Benefits)

  6. Click Search. Click Accept. The same number of records should be referenced. 

In regards to the projection, this information is pulled from the same table so it will not be duplicated when the post to budget happens.
