How to unhide system administration menu in Munis

Description of Issue

System administration menu option no longer available and is missing from the Tyler menu.



Context

  • Munis (2019+)

  • HUB



Cause

System administration menu option was set to hidden by mistake and menu settings is no longer available.



Resolution

Resolution 1:

  1. Log into Munis HUB environment

  2. Open a new browser tab by pressing CTRL+T and navigate to the menu setup module:

    1. https://FQDN/XXXXenv/munis/gas/app/ua/r/mugwc/menusetu

      1. Ex. https://tylertechnologiesmunisapp.tylerhost.net/1234prod/munis/gas/app/ua/r/mugwc/menusetu

  3. Click Update

  4. Click Accept

    1. Under the Caption column look for System Administration

    2. Next to System Administration column is the Allow Access column:

      1. Click drop down and change from Hidden to Yes.

  5. Click Accept

  6. Click Apply Now:

    1. No confirmation window will show after clicking apply now

  7. Refresh Munis HUB page and verify System Administration menu populates


Resolution 2:

  1. Log into Munis HUB environment

  2. Open a new browser tab by pressing CTRL+T and navigate to the roles module:

    1. https://FQDN/XXXXenv/munis/gas/app/ua/r/mugwc/sprolemt

      1. Ex. https://tylertechnologiesmunisapp.tylerhost.net/1234prod/munis/gas/app/ua/r/mugwc/sprolemt

  3. Click Search and for Role Key, search "MUNIS".

  4. Click Update.

  5. Click on Menu Security tab, then Edit.

  6. Ensure Role Access line for System Administration is checked. Click accept.

  7. Refresh Munis HUB page and verify System Administration menu populates
