Failed Void Employee Update then deleted the payroll warrant
Failed Void Employee Update then deleted the payroll warrant
Description of Issue
I have a Failed employee update on a Void payroll warrant. It is showing the red circle with the line through it. I deleted it and tried to create a new Void warrant but I get a message that the checks have already been voided.
Context
- Munis
- Payroll
- Payroll Start and Status
- Manual Check Reconciliation
- SQL Server Access
Cause
Since the payroll was deleted with the voided checks still in Earnings and Deductions the check status will need to be scripted in SQL.
Resolution
Call Payroll Support.
Additional Information
- As soon as the Employee Update fails, call Payroll Support.
- Payroll Support will need SQL Server access if server is self hosted.
- Never delete a payroll warrant unless recommended by Payroll Support.
