Accrual Balance is off in ESS
Description of Issue
- In Munis the accrual balance is correct, in ESS the balance is understated
Context
- Munis
- Human Capital Management (HCM)
- Employee Self Service (ESS)
- Employee Accruals
- Time Off Requests
Resolution
- Review the program for Employee Accruals in Munis
- Menu > Human Capital Management > Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Accrual
- Select Search and locate the specific employee and accrual table having the issue
- Click on the option for Pending in the toolbar of Munis
- Review for any records that have either a Used or Pending balance, if these records are past dated from the current payroll processing you can either choose to:
- Delete the record
- Update the record to zero out the Used or Pending balance
- Have the user log out and log in to ESS to verify their balance is now correct
Cause
- Orphaned accrual request records. Orphaned records are usually due to the Find/Pending within the Time Entry Batch not picking up the correct records
