Invalid Pre-edit error for available budget exceeded on account with Rollup Code

Journal Import Pre-edit report shows an over budget error for an account associated with a Rollup Code.  The Rollup Code has adequate budget.

Errors: Account: XXXX-XXX: Available budget of $XXXXX.00 exceeded.  Rollup: XXXX: Available budget of $XXXX.XX exceeded

A known defect is causing invalid reporting errors in Import Journals pre-edit when importing journals on accounts associated with a Rollup Code that is not used in Budget Validation.

Work ticket MUN-413153 is open to address this issue.

• The error should reflect the account that is over budget since the Rollup Code is not used in Budget Validation.
• If the Rollup Code should not be used in Budget Validation, review the import file for the account that is over budget and make necessary corrections.
• If the Rollup Code should be used in Budget Validation:

Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set up/Chart of Accounts > Chart Manager

1. Click on Rollup Codes
2. Search for the rollup code
3. Select Used in Budget Validation
