NADA Processing - Export Settings File
Description of Issue
What do all the fields for the export setting file do in the NADA processing program?
Context
- Munis
- VA Tax
- Personal Property Tax
- Motor Vehicles
- NADA Export
Cause
NADA and JD Power have changed the layout for the batch file to utilize CSV files.
Resolution
Export setting file (CSV layout only)
- File Name - Name of the export settings file to be created in the export directory
- Site name - Name of your site as you want it reflected in your export settings file
- Site ID - The site identification number provided by NADA
- VIN decode - Defines how the valuation process handles ambiguous VINs - VINs which can potentially decode to more than one vehicle
- Default - Return the vehicle selected by NADA's analytics team as the most representative vehicle for the VIN in question
- Low value - Return the vehicle with the lowest (non-$0) Loan value for the VIN in questionÂ
- If all vehicles available for the VIN are unvalued (Loan = $0), the process will return the Default vehicle for the record in question
- High value - Return the vehicle with the highest (non-$0) Loan value for the VIN in question
- If all vehicles available for the VIN are unvalued (Loan = $0), the process will return the Default vehicle for the record in question
- Build - Utilize the new VIN Configuration data to select the appropriate vehicle for the unique VIN in question and may also add additional option/accessory values based on the same data
- If NADA does not have the specific/unique VIN in our current VIN Configuration data, the process will return the Default vehicle for the record in question
- Records which return data based on NADA's VIN Configuration data will typically incur additional charges for the process
- Mileage adjustments - Defines how the valuation process handles mileage adjustments when the per-record Mileage field is populated
- All - Return mileage adjustments for any record with the Mileage field populated, both positive/adds/low mileage and negative/deducts/high mileage
- Some vehicles will not have mileage adjustment data
- None - Do not return any mileage adjustments for any record.
- Any records with input Mileage will have the input mileage ignored
- High Mileage Only - Return only $0 or negative mileage adjustments
- Any record with a potentially positive mileage adjustment will return $0 for the mileage adjustment value
- Low Mileage Only - Return only $0 or positive mileage adjustments
- Any record with a potentially negative mileage adjustment will return $0 for the mileage adjustment value
- All - Return mileage adjustments for any record with the Mileage field populated, both positive/adds/low mileage and negative/deducts/high mileage
- Default date - Enter the default date to be used if the valuation date is not provided for a given vehicle in the export
- Default User Info - Enter the default user info if it is not provided for a given vehicle in the export
- Return options -Â Select the filters for the values NADA should use in the valuation process
