Employee shows in Position Control incorrectly

Description of Issue
  • An employee is currently linked to a position they should not be
  • An employee occupies two positions, one is incorrect
  • Employee shows in Position Control but they no longer work that job
Context
  • Munis
  • Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Position Control
  • Employee Job/Salary
Cause
  • An old base pay record did not have the Position End Date field marked appropriately
Resolution
  1. Navigate to the program Employee Job/Salary
    1. Menu > Human Capital Management > Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Job/Salary
  2. Click Search and locate your issue records
    1. You can refine this search by also clicking the box Base Pays under the Cycles tab to return only base pay records
  3. Review the base pay records and the associated Position End Date field on each
  4. Click Update and update the Position End Date to end alongside the Effective End Date
    1. As a rule of thumb, the Position End Date generally can use the same date as the Pay End Date
