Set up an approver:

System Administration > Workflow Administration > Workflow User Attribute 

  1. Search username

  2. Promote user to workflow approver

  3. Click Update

  4. Verify e-mail address

  5. Specify Workflow delivery from the dropdown menu 

  6. Click Accept

Set up a PEA business rule:

System Administration > Workflow Administration > Workflow Business Rules

  1. Click Add

  2. Enter PEA in the Process field

  3. In the Step field enter the desired step number - It is suggested to create rules in step increments of 5 or 10, in case additional steps need to be added between existing business rules in the future.

  4. Select AMT-Dollar Based from the Type dropdown menu

  5. Populate Min Amt and Max Amt  with desired values that would require approval at this step

  6. Check box for Deliver immediately

    1. Option for Catchall rule should be when all actions need approval including ones that fall outside of the defined range.

  7. Check radio button for desired Group approvers at this step option

  8. Enter either the username of the approver in an Approver(s) field or enter a role of the approver in a Role(s) field

  9. Click Accept

Note: it is recommended to follow the same steps in order to add another PEA business rule as a step 99 catchall rule

Update approver AR permissions:

System Administration > Security > User Attributes

  1. Search the user (approver)

  2. Click the Effective Permissions tab

  3. Scroll down to the Accounts Receivable module and Release Batch Status permission and double-click that line

  4. In the pop out window, highlight the role to be updated

  5. Click Edit Role

  6. Double-click the Accounts Receivable folder

  7. Click Update

  8. Change Release Batch Status to Released

Update Payment Entry users AR permissions:

System Administration > Security > User Attributes

  1. Search the user

  2. Click the Effective Permissions tab

  3. Scroll down to the Accounts Receivable module and Release Batch Status permission and double-click that line

  4. In the pop out window, highlight the role to be updated

  5. Click Edit Role

  6. Double-click the Accounts Receivable folder

  7. Click Update

  8. Change Release Batch Status to Released

Set up auto approval for PEA workflow if desired:

System Administration > Workflow Administration > Workflow

  1. Click the Auto Approvals tab

  2. Click Update

  3. Check the box next to PEA - Payment Entry Batch Approval

  4. Click Accept
