How to allow for Update Delete access to Employee programs



Description of Issue
  • Need to give a user inquiry only access to programs in payroll

Cause
  • Change needed to employee program access in Human Resources and Payroll Module
Resolution
  1. Navigate to the Roles program or User Attributes program
    1. Menu > System Administration > Security > User Attributes
  2. Search and Accept for the user whose access should be updated
  3. Find the role that has payroll access (there may be more than one)
  4. Click Edit Role > HR Management/Payroll > Click Update from the Ribbon Category Access
  5. Select Update/Delete from the drop down list for all programs that should be affected
Additional Information
  • If the employee has payroll access in more than one role, the roles will work together to provide the most access possible

  • If you make changes take note of other employees attached to that role and know it will affect their access as well
