Informational.
Resolution
- The Primary Job/Position box it used to tell the system which is the primary job/position if an employee is currently working in more than one Job Class or Position.
- When adding employees, the Primary Job/Position flag would be checked. The box would not be checked for any secondary Job Classes or Positions assigned to the employee.
Additional Information
If an employee transfers to a new Job Class and/or Position, or receives a rate change under the same Job Class and Position, the Primary Job/Position box does not need to be unchecked on the most recent Effective Dated Employee Job/Salary record. It should only be unchecked when the employee truly occupies more than one Job Class and/or Position Control Number at the same time.
