GL Master Not Found errors in GL Distribution Journal were not found in Earnings and Deductions Error Report

Description of Issue
  • When using the PDF option in Earnings and Deductions the GL Master Not Found errors are only showing invalid pay GL accounts and not deductions.
  • GL Master Not Found errors are not found in Earnings and Deductions Error report.

Cause


Resolution
  1. Within Payroll Start and Status on the active warrant, before processing the Employee Update, go into the Earnings and Deductions Proof step.
  2. Click Define. Select Proof Option of W-Account Status Report. Click Accept. 
  3. Click Output Post. Review the report.
Additional Information
  • When creating the PDF error report within Earnings and Deductions or using the C-Error Report option within Earnings and Deductions Proof, these will only display GL errors based on the pay codes. 
  • The Account Status Report within Earnings and Deductions Proof acts more like the GL Distribution Journal step where it creates accounts based on pays and deductions and will display errors as necessary.
