- Remaining Depreciation principal = Current book value - Estimated salvage value
- Remaining periods of depreciation = (Useful life * 12) - Periods taken
- Per period amount of depreciation = Remaining depreciation principal from step 1 / Remaining periods of depreciation from step 2
- Total depreciation = Number of periods depreciation will be taken for * Per period amount of depreciation from from step 3
