Payroll Encumbering - Remaining amounts in Employee Job Salary update all instances of base pay

Description of Issue

When I update the Future effective dated base pay record in Employee Job/Salary with the new remaining pays and amount for our encumbrances, it is also updating the current and historical instances. 

Context
  • Munis Version 2018.1 and higher

Cause

Current functionality in versions 2018.1 and higher holds the remaining fields in one location in the database so it will update all instances of the base pay.

Resolution

The functionality for updating/adding the remaining amounts and remaining number of pays in Employee Job/Salary for encumbering on future dated records to follow effective dates, will be completed in a future Munis release.  

Additional Information
  • Payroll Encumbering has not yet been updated to have effective dated functionality. There are plans to add this in a future version but until then the program is going to continue to work as it did in version 11.3.
  • The remaining amount is going to be the same on every instance of the pay record. If the remaining amount is updated on one record it will update it for all the others as well.
