Description of Issue
  • Subordinate workflow approver cannot see employee's time entry in ESS
Context
  • Munis
  • Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Employee Self Service (ESS)
Cause
  • Approver is not a supervisor and needs to be added to the ESS Additional Supervisor program
Resolution
  1. Navigate to the program ESS Additional Supervisor
    1. Menu > Human Capital Management > Payroll > Payroll Setup > Time Entry Setup > ESS Additional Supervisors
  2. Click Add to create a record for the subordinate to elevate as a workflow approver
    1. Please know, ESS Additional Supervisors will only allow the employee to approve workflow items for their supervisor's direct reports in ESS
    2. ESS Additioanl Supervisors do not have the access to add/edit time entry in ESS
  3. Click Accept to save the record
  4. Ensure the ESS Additional Supervisor is also added to the program User Attributes and has the permission for Workflow Approver
