Description of Issue
- Subordinate workflow approver cannot see employee's time entry in ESS
Context
- Munis
- Human Capital Management (HCM)
- Employee Self Service (ESS)
Cause
- Approver is not a supervisor and needs to be added to the ESS Additional Supervisor program
Resolution
- Navigate to the program ESS Additional Supervisor
- Menu > Human Capital Management > Payroll > Payroll Setup > Time Entry Setup > ESS Additional Supervisors
- Click Add to create a record for the subordinate to elevate as a workflow approver
- Please know, ESS Additional Supervisors will only allow the employee to approve workflow items for their supervisor's direct reports in ESS
- ESS Additioanl Supervisors do not have the access to add/edit time entry in ESS
- Click Accept to save the record
- Ensure the ESS Additional Supervisor is also added to the program User Attributes and has the permission for Workflow Approver
