Starting Check Number field in Print Payroll Checks is incorrect



Description of Issue

When in Print Payroll Checks, the starting check number is a number that was used over a year ago.

Resolution

If a payroll check from a previous warrant is reprinted, the Starting Check Number will be the next number from the reprinted check and will need to be updated on the current payroll warrant. 

  1. Confirm what the correct next Starting Check Number should be. 
  2. From within the current payroll warrant:
    1. Click on the Print Payroll Checks step.
    2. Click Change in the Menu.
    3. Update the Starting Check Number field to the correct next check number. Click Accept. 
Cause

IT reprinted an old check from an old payroll for testing purposes in live.
