Prevent users from adding duplicate records with same SSN in Employee Master

Description of Issue

A user was able to add a second record for an employee with the same SSN. How can that be prevented?

Cause

Payroll Control Setting for duplicate SSN was set to 'Y'.

Resolution
  1. Go to Payroll control Settings (EERP>Human Capital Management>Payroll>Payroll Setup>Payroll Control settings).

  2. Scroll down to category 'General' Label 'Allow Duplicate Social Security Numbers.'

  3. Double click on that category.

  4. Click Update, change the value to 'N'. 

    1. Once it is changed to 'N', it will not allow the user to add Duplicate records. 

    2. Can also select 'W' which will give a warning.

  5. Click Accept.
