Notes printing next to Earnings on Payroll Advices

Description of Issue

Some employee's pay stubs are showing notes next to the pay descriptions. For example, next to Overtime it says:

ERROR: unable to locate employee's position

Context
  • Payroll

  • Payroll Start and Status

  • Earnings and Deductions

  • Print Payroll Advices

  • Time Entry

  • Time Entry Preferences 

Cause

Resolution

The Notes in Time Entry can be suppressed:

  1. Go to Time Entry (Payroll>Payroll Processing>Time Entry Processing>Time Entry)

  2. Click Preferences in the toolbar

  3. Click Update. Click the Screen Preferences Tab. 

  4.  Uncheck the Record Date Notes checkbox.
