How to configure Payroll data access for reporting views

Description of Issue

Need to configure a role so users can only view data from certain locations, organizations, deductions etc. through TRS views

Cause

User currently has broad access and need to be limit visibility of payroll data through TRS views

Resolution
  1. Browse to System Administration>Security>User Attributes

  2. Click Search

  3. Enter the User's ID

  4. Click Accept

  5. Highlight the Role that you would like to update this Payroll Data Access for, and click Edit Role

  6. Click into the HR Management / Payroll section of this Role

  7. In the section Data Access, there is an option to restrict access using various attributes:

    • Deduction Code

    • Location Code

    • Organization code

    • Pay type

    • Applicant Status

    • Projection Number

  8. Click on the Yellow folder to the right of area any attribute to select a list of values for that attributes.

  9. Select Limit and select the applicable values.

  10. Click Accept

  11. Click Back
